Welcome to Studio 63, the digital home for paintings and other artistic pieces by Meera Pamani.
As a young girl, Meera developed an early taste for painting by admiring the works of her landlord's son. The staircases of her childhood home were perpetually littered with canvases and papers, and it was hard not to be intrigued. It was at this time that Meera took her first steps into the world of creating with quick sketches in pencil of friends and family. And it's been an addiction ever since.
Fast-forward to the present day, and those sketches have grown into mixed-media paintings that take a closer look at the world we live in and the relationships we have with one another.
More recently, her works have focused on the important and often overlooked role that women play in society. Her pieces tend to favor the use of rich color and the alternating play between soft and hard lines to depict movement and a wealth of emotion.
Most of her works are acrylic on canvas, although some have incorporated the use of mixed media materials such as handmade paper for added texture and depth. Meera has also been dipping a toe into the world of encaustics and hopes to bring that in as an added element to pieces.
On this website you will find a curated selection of Meera's work, both on canvas and in encaustics. Meera also does commissioned work. Please feel free to reach out via the Contact page with any inquiries you may have.
